Tjerk Opmeer

Director International Programmes, Netherlands Enterprise Agency

As Director International Programmes at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) since June 2018, Mr. Opmeer has been responsible for realizing impact focused on trade promotion, acquiring sustainable investments, fostering innovation and development cooperation. This is done on behalf of different ministries in the Netherlands and the European Commission. 

Mr. Opmeer became Deputy Director of the International Enterprise department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2014. Before that, he held different positions including as Manager of Innovation, deputy member of the European trade policy committee and First Commercial Secretary at the Netherlands Permanent Representation to the European Union. Mr. Opmeer is a regular guest on Dutch national business radio (BNR.nl) focusing on international opportunities for Dutch entrepreneurs.
