Martin is a Senior Adviser with the Institutions & Ecosystems team at the International Trade Centre. He advises entrepreneurship and business support organisations in emerging economies, helping them to achieve business impact for their ecosystems and guiding them through their digital transformation process. After successfully managing the $10 million Netherlands Trust Fund IV (NTF IV) programme and its projects in Senegal and Uganda, he managed the $15 million NTF V programme from September 2021 until June 2025. During this period, he also managed the tech sector development portfolio, supporting over 300 tech start-ups and SMEs in more than 10 countries worldwide, alongside a team of 11 young experts based at our headquarters in Geneva and in the countries where we operate. Furthermore, he spearheaded the development of the #FastTrackTech methodology. Martin’s previous experience includes working with the outsourcing industry in Bangladesh and implementing Digital4Development projects in Africa and Central Asia. Prior to this, he marketed IT companies in the UK and SMEs across sectors in Kazakhstan for the French Trade Promotion Organisation Business France. Martin holds an MA in International Business.
