About the Certification programme.
The objective of the programme is to transfer knowledge, tools, and methodologies to allow BSOs undertake a holistic assessment of the performance and competitiveness of their SME clients. The programme is divided into 6 step-by-step modules that will walk you through the core concepts of business diagnostics. Learn about the core areas of business performance, understand the challenges facing your SME clients, and develop higher-quality, tailored services that directly address their needs.
Use the course to certify your BSO's staff in order to conduct your own assessments in-house. Alternatively, outsource your diagnostics by inviting external experts to get certified on the tool, and contract your work through them.
Once certified, your experts will gain access to the full functionality of the platform. You will be able to conduct assessments online, compare and analyse scores, and use the results to improve the performance of your SME clients and keep track if their progress over time.

What you will learn
Module 1: Managing for Competitiveness
This module provides the foundation for the entire programme, covering core concepts of competitiveness, successful business management, and understanding strategic competence.
Module 2: Marketing Competence
This module will deepen the trainees’ understanding of the functional objectives of marketing, and the tools to assess competence in this field.
Module 3: Production Competence
This module covers the objectives of production and the processes that constitute different production capabilities. Participants will learn about topics such as minimum quality and volume levels, lead times, specifications, and cost management.
Module 4: Resource Management Competence
Participants will learn the importance of resources for business competitiveness, and the mechanisms SMEs put in place to manage them.
Module 5: Planning improvement based on Diagnosis
This module focusses on how to leverage and make best use of Diagnostic results. The module covers the core concepts of designing Performance Improvement Roadmaps (PIRMs) that are both achievable and challenging, and that will increase the performance of your clients
Module 6: ITC's SME Diagnostic tool
This module teaches participants how to use ITC's Diagnostic platform. The module covers how to conduct assessment, how to use the tool to analyze results, and how to produce reports, among much more.
Master Users
When getting certified, it will be necessary to select at least one master-user from your organization. This master-user will manage your organization's presence on the platform including inviting your client SMEs to register, assigning assessments to certified experts, and managing the segmentation, sorting, and comparison of clients' scores and performance.
This master-user will undergo a special, 7th module. This extra course will cover the core functionalities of managing your BSO's users on the platform such as how to create accounts, manage assessments, and analyze results.
